After many months of "Will it? Won't it?", today Nintendo has officially confirmed in the latest Nintendo Direct that Square Enix's spiritual successor to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light will be coming to Europe later this year, and North America in 2014.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, as it is known in Japan, is an exclusive Nintendo 3DS role-playing game, featuring traditional turn-based combat and a job system similar to that of Final Fantasy V. Voice acting has a large role during the story and battles, and many other unique features are included in the game, such as augmented reality. Bravely Default is developed by 3D Dot Game Heroes talent Silicon Studio, and has even spawned a PC game that takes place many years later, with ideas for a sequel having been discussed.
Will you be picking up Bravely Default when it finally arrives in your region?
