Nintendo today discussed the upcoming Nintendo 3DS remake of Donkey Kong Country: Returns.
The game is an optimised version of the Wii version, taking into account the portable/shorter play nature of the 3DS portable in mind. To help players, there'll be one of two different modes available - a New Mode, together with the original settings in Original Mode. In the new mode there'll be new items to help players out - like spare DK barrels - plus additional health to help newcomers out. There'll also be local wireless play for those wanting a co-operative experience.
There'll also be additional new levels in a ninth world, exclusive to Nintendo 3DS.
Donkey Kong Country: Returns is launching as planned on May 24th.
