Mystery Capcom Games are Digital Releases on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Capcom are set to show two unannounced projects during PAX East this weekend, and it's been confirmed that they're both digital games.

Whilst Capcom are keeping schtum on what platforms or franchises are involved, what we do know is that both these games will be digital releases - so appearing on some or all the download networks like the Wii U eShop, Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, Steam etc.

On the Capcom Unity forums, Christian Svensson confirmed that both games are digital and aren't traditional retail projects. A release on the Wii U eShop has yet to be confirmed.

Perhaps something Mega Man related?

Apparently Svensson slightly hinted that the titles would be on WiiU.. which would be great if true. I hope it's the beginning of more steady Capcom support for the WiiU and the eShop. If they're from franchises I like, I think I'll probably get them!

It's always pretty exciting when Capcom do digital releases, I wonder what they could be?

One is certainly Strider.

The other is not in the Demon's Crest/Gargoyles Quest franchise, he's already ruled that out.

Remember that poll from a while ago where they asked which classic franchises we'd like to see again in some form? Seems like a short time span to have something already ready to be shown since that poll, but perhaps they were influenced a bit?

I hope for a new Ghouls n' Ghosts game Smilie, or perhaps a HD remix of Ultimate Ghosts'n Goblins since I played them all except that one.
