With Toki Tori 2 on the brink of completion, the studio behind the game have detailed some of the Nintendo Wii U features.
In the latest Two Tribes blog post, the team highlighted some of the additional Wii U functionality including:
Off-TV Support on the GamePad
Unlike New Super Mario Bros. U or other Wii U titles, it will be an either-or situation. Players can switch between TV or off-TV GamePad support through the options menu/Select button at any time but won't be able to use both TV and GamePad in a mirrored way.
Tokidex Camera
Described as a throwback to "golden oldies like Pokémon Snap", the feature allows players to take snaps of around 40 different pictures - key moments that are snappable throughout your adventure that unlock. Once these have been snapped, a bonus easter egg will be your reward!
UI Features
Also included is the ability to pop pins on the world map, navigate the pause menus quickly and other touch-screen additions.
Level Editor
The team are working on a level editor, but it won't be available at launch as Two Tribes would "rather use the time and energy required to polish the core game", but have promised to work on it for a later update.
The studio is also hoping that MiiVerse might be expanded to shares these user-created levels - but of course it depends on how Nintendo chose to develop the growing Wii U community.
What do you think of Toki Tori 2 so far? Will you be rolling out with Two Tribes' latest Wii U project?
