A rather bizarre situation recently arose in Europe, with 5TH Cell's Scribblenauts Unlimited on Nintendo systems being delayed, yet magically appearing on the Wii U eShop for download shortly after on Friday, 8th February!
Below is the original message from Nintendo about the delay of the Wii U and 3DS versions of the latest adventure starring Maxwell and plenty of word fun:
Scribblenauts Unlimited delayed in Europe We are sorry to announce that Scribblenauts Unlimited, a game developed by Warner Bros. Interactive & 5th Cell and published by Nintendo of Europe for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, will be delayed in Europe. It has come to light that some changes need to be implemented within the game before we launch them across Europe. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon.
...and this is what was said of the mistaken eShop release:
Scribblenauts Unlimited for Wii U which was recently delayed for Europe was made available today to download on the Nintendo eShop for a short period of time. This title has now been removed from the Nintendo eShop. We are very sorry for any confusion this may have caused and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon.
Did any readers manage to grab the download before it was pulled?
