Gamer takes 3DS on US Charity Trek on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A 36 year old gaming enthusiast is planning to complete a charity walk across America, taking his Nintendo 3DS for company. Cody Thompson is raising money for Child's Play; a charity which "seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game industry and the power of play."

Thompson's route is set to total at around 3,000 miles and will include several states including North Carolina, Texas, Arizona and California. He plans to play a number of 3DS games on his travels, naming Paper Mario, Professor Layton and Fire Emblem as just a few of the titles he will take with him.

Thompson's journey will begin on March 10th following several months of planning. He plans to update his blog and twitter as he makes his way across the US to show his progress with the walk and his games.

Will you be keeping up with Cody Thompson on his travels?
