Platinum Games Express Interest in Darksiders Rights

The studio head behind Platinum Games has expressed an interest in the now available Darksiders series from Vigil Games.

It emerged earlier today that properties from the now defunct THQ have been distributed to various publishers and companies, but one studio has been left without a buyer: Vigil Games.

The creators of the Darksiders series may well be saved by the likes of Platinum Games. The studio behind Bayonetta, MadWorld and The Wonderful 101 has expressed interest in potentially lapping up the rights to the Darksiders franchise. Atsushi Inaba recently tweeted that "we wanna buy it... on the cheap..."

Whether Inaba's comments come with genuine interest or simple curiosity could mean that the next entry in the Darksiders series could be crafted by the brains from both Vigil and Platinum Games.
