Rumour: Resident Evil Revelations for Wii U?

The Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK has teased a new game to be revealed in the upcoming February issue, together with artwork depicting pipework and engineering.

The style and text in the teaser has lead fans to ponder whether the game could be a Wii U version of the popular 3DS-exclusive Resident Evil: Revelations.

World Exclusive! The first look at a stunning new game. Are you scared? You should be...

There are rumblings of a 360/PS3 port, and if so, a Wii U version would equally make sense given how successful the setup worked on Nintendo's handheld.

Then again, it could be something completely different and perhaps even Nintendo 3DS instead of Wii U.

Could it be a port of Resident Evil: Revelations, or something completely different? What do you think?

Well considering an achievement list for Revelations on 360 just got leaked recently, I'm gonna go ahead and say this is probably gonna happen as well xD

I may already have Revelations for 3ds but I'd be happy to repurchase it on 360 since it's a fantastic game.

Capcom's VP recently said they're not interested in bringing ports to Wii U.

They were talking about LATE ports. Like porting RE6 a year after it launched.
If they're porting Revelations to the PS360, I don't see why they would skip a Wii U version.

Well, due to the South Korean registration, we know it's coming to PS3 and Xbox 360...the rumour about Wii U is just that at the moment, with people adding weight to it by saying there was no Wii U version listed purely because that system isn't out in Korea yet.

We shall see...

What if this is a "stunning NEW game" and has NOTHING to do with RE:Rev?

And is it 100% that the game will be ported to the consoles? actually want this to be 3DS exclusive since it was made for the 3DS. And Nintendo needs their exlusives just like any other company. Then agan I understand Capcom wants money Smilie

But f this is somethng new and for the Wii U am very curious to what it can be. Well, I am curious anyway! Smilie

Probably because they know their audience would be very angry, on the evidence of the tone towards the prospect of ports on Wii U, on their own community site. And the prolonged insistence they're working on original projects, and want to offer tailored content, not ports.

Considering the similarties in what's possible with both the 3DS and Wii U, AND what Wii U can do that the 3DS can't - I tell you it would be A CRIME if Capcom does not port Revelations to Wii U. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time they've done something so stupid. :-x
