Senran Kagura Burst Heading to Japanese eShop, Teases Western Release on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Senran Kagura Burst has been confirmed for a release on the Nintendo eShop in Japan, paving the way for an eventual localised edition in the West.

Last month producer Kenichiro Takaki was adamant that the game would arrive outside Japan as a digital release, providing Nintendo "further builds up their infrastructure for downloadable games".

Senran Kagura Burst on Nintendo 3DS tells the tale of chesty female ninjas as a side-scrolling brawler with upgradable assets, costumes and stats building. For the fan of the female form, Senran Kagura also features dynamic clothing: if a player takes damage, clothes are progressively torn off to reveal a more scantily clad ninja.

With Senran Kagura Burst heading to the eShop download service in Japan on January 10th, it's looking highly likely that North America and Europe would eventually receive the same treatment. Takaki even teased on Twitter last week that he would "wrap the world in happy boobs next year".

Tease, indeed!

I really like this guy, particularly his honesty and humour. No sugar-coating about what his series is offering and just says it like it is. If it really happens, then it'll hopefully make it to the West intact and not crippled by censorship.

It'll no doubt be censored imo, and I wonder what rating it would receive in Europe with these awkward eShop restrictions?

I seriously hope this game comes over to the states. It looks like it'd be a fun game to play.
