The high-definition Wii U edition of Dragon Quest X is set to battle across Japan next year and Square Enix has outlined a incentive for current Wii owners to purchase the upgraded Wii U edition as confirmed in the latest Nintendo Direct presentation.
Those who own the original Wii version can download a digital copy on Wii U for half the retail price - 3,490 yen ($41/£25). The publisher is also planning to roll out an update towards the end of the month that increases the level cap to 60, adds a lottery and auto matchmaking system to the original release.
A handful of new screens of the Wii U edition were also posted today, detailing some of the improved visuals in HD and GamePad play.
