Mammoth New Trailer for Dragon Quest X: Wii U Version, Cloud Saves Confirmed on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

During Nintendo Direct this morning, the Japanese arm revealed new footage from the Wii U edition of Dragon Quest X

The increasingly popular Wii MMORPG is taking Japan by storm, but of course new Wii U owners shouldn't miss out on the experience, and developer Square Enix are hard at work porting it across to the high definition platform. The trailer is packed to the brim with a combination of in-game and CGI sequences with the game's cast wielding their weapons.

The presentation also revealed an interesting new titbit about the game: cloud saves. Both the Wii and Wii U editions will utlise the wireless save technology to store game progress online, possibly allowing players to retrieve their progress on a different Wii U system entirely.

For now a new Dragon Quest X: Wii U edition trailer to sink your adventuring teeth into;

No one is going to be able to succeed Sugiyama. Smilie

I wonder if the series will make any drastic changes after he retires or passes on.
