Wait WHAT!? Why is this, did Rare cause some ruccus or something?

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

I bought the first. I expect I will still be able to redownload it when needed.

I'd say Micro$oft, rather... but we might never know.

Is this only the European Virtual Console?

I happened to be on the eShop yesterday and I noticed they were removing some games. I assume it's because of some legal issues with Rare...

The other option is that they're planning on re-re-releasing the games, this time for the Wii U VC. If that's the case, I hope not a single person buys them.

I've only played DKC1 (we still have it on our SNES). I'd like to try 2 and 3 some day, but there's no way I'm paying this much for them.

I should think Nintendo own all publishing rights to DKC, this is really strange.

Of course. Shouldn't have anything to do with Rare. Rare said themselves recently that it's up to Nintendo to put DK64 on the VC -- nothing to do with them. I don't know what the reason is, but hopefully it'll become clear. I'd like to believe it's that these will be the first three games that come to the Wii U VC as GamePad games, but I doubt that after all the recent no-no's about it. Must be another reason.

Probably gonna start removing games from the Wii vc so they can sell them back to us on Wii U. YAY nintendo you rock Smilie

Well hopefully that's not the case, I mean they're not NEARLY as greedy as sony is that's for sure.

First this;

And now the removal of all three DKC games. I sense a bundle with Returns imminent.

Apparently, they've been taken off NA's VC already.

Ahahahahaha.

The same Sony who lets you download games on multiple systems assuming your accounts are connected?
My brother and I have our 3DS' connected to the same account but we have to buy download games and dlc twice lmao.

yeah sony don't really strike me as that greedy. Online is free and the cross platform play is quite generous. Plus they invest heavily in new ip's and new developers.

Yes Link, the VERY SAME company who expects people to buy virtual versions of games they've purchased UMD copies of only ONE system after their release. Sony is VERY greedy & in Nintendo's defence online play has ALWAYS been free AND Nintendo doesn't fuck you over with online pass bullshit (hotshots & Wipeout are a couple of Sony made games that make you pay to multiplay) AND if you want physical versions of crossplay games you're screwed as well.....OH & HOW DOES giving 10% back on online purchases ammount to beeing greedy? Sure is a HELL OF ALOT MORE than Microsoft or Sony offers for online purchases.

No, the same sony that made the PSPVita use a priority memory card that costs a bundle more then the SDHC/XC standard everyone else uses (yes,  the fastest spec SDHC is still cheaper). Then they lied about it being a security issue (the hardware is never hard to crack, its the software)

Also the sony responsible for SecurRom, Rootkit and giving Google a court order to turn over the IP address's of everyone that watched a youtube video showing how to crack the ps3....the video itself a reaction to sony remove Linux support from their "supercomputer".

Nintendo owns DKC, so Rare and Microsoft have no say at all with anything related to it. This is just Nintendo being Nintendo. They either don't put up the good games at all (EarthBound) or they'll put them up only to remove them for no reason, then they whine about piracy, as if they couldn't have prevented it by just giving their customers what they want.

I want to know what would happen if they lowered their VC prices with 50%. I for one would all of a sudden buy tons of games. €4 for a SNES game is a good deal, €8 is not.

When they put up Cube games, I bet they'll go for €15-20. That is a redicilous price, other publishers give you an HD port for that kind of money.
