Japanese folk eager for a copy of Bravely Default can download a copy from the Nintendo 3DS eShop instead.
Developer Square Enix will be selling the digital version of the game for 5,400 Yen (£41/$67) compared to the standard RRP of ($47/$76). With stock shortages in certain areas of Japan and a lower price point, the digital alternative may be an option for fans.
In related news producer Tomoya Asano was quizzed on a potential sequel to the game given recent news of a PC browser game Bravely Default: Pravying Brage. Square Enix aren't ready to go into specifics but are "continuing preparations".
There's also word on attempting to take the series outside Japan, with Asano "still considering a good method to create a localization that preserves the interesting parts of the original".
