Yet another greedy company has attempted to sneakily sue Nintendo for infringing on copyrights, years after release and failed.
IA Labs CA had taken Nintendo to court over allegations that the Wii Balance Board, now in many homes across the globe, infringed on a number of patents it holds - even the Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus software itself.
The popular exercise peripheral wasn't the only device taken out of the family home and into the hostile legal world this year, with Nintendo sued twice this year already for the Wii Remote. In all these situations, the Japanese gaming leader remains victorious.
Nintendo has a passionate tradition of developing innovative products while respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We vigorously defend patent lawsuits when we firmly believe that we have not infringed another party's patent. We refuse to succumb to patent trolls.
