Mario Tennis 3D Dated, New Features on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Mario and his sporting chums are storming Europe in time for Wimbledon and the Olympics with a release date for Mario Tennis 3DS.

Confirmed as Mario Tennis Open, it'll be a brand new game that builds up on the success of the past console and handheld editions with gyroscopic motion controls, shortcut panels for shots on the touch screen (much like Street Fighter IV) and a robust online feature.

StreetPass, Local multiplayer for up to four will be available, plus a ranked online play will track performance and pump up those valuable statistics.

The game is out May 24th in Japan, and a day later on the 25th over on European shores.

I am really tempted to get this. The game play looks solid, like Mario Tennis (N64). The temptation of online play too might be to big to resist.

Camelot made the GBA Mario Power Tennis if I'm not mistaken. I loved that game, was so much fun SmilieThis should be good also.

Are Camelot not making this? ;_; They're really great at music and like EVERYTHING.. plus since it's on a handheld I would have loved an RPG mode.

Still with any luck Camelot are working on Golden Sun 4 3DS and if that's the case I have no complaints.

EDIT: oH OK CAMELOT ARE making it.
But still it doesn't look like there's an RPG mode... ;~;
