PS Vita vs 3DS in 9 Hour Battery Test

How does the new PS Vita compare to the 3DS in terms of battery life? One very dedicated gamer spent 9 hours finding out.

Hardware manufacturers usually give a rough figure for how long a player can run the device on full charge, often with most or all of the bells and whistles turned off. One dedicated YouTuber decided to put both the 3DS and PS Vita to the test by playing the same game F1 2011, the same lap over and over till the consoles ran out of juice.

Settings like Wi-Fi, screen brightness, sound, use of 3D etc were disabled/lowered to try and attempt to gain the most life from each.

kurekureyon filmed his efforts with a timer clock for all to see - the 3DS wrapping things up in 4 hours 57 minutes, with the PS Vita just chipping into the 4 hour mark.

That said, with both consoles set to max, the 3DS on average lasts just over 2 1/2 hours, with the PS Vita surviving an hour longer.
