In Nintendo's recent press release which celebrated the fact the Nintendo 3DS has sold over 4 million units since its release in the United States, there was a small line that may have been overlooked by most.
With a strong lineup of software on the horizon, including new installments in the Mario Party™, Pokémon™ and Kid Icarus™ franchises, as well as third-party games such as Resident Evil Revelations from Capcom and METAL GEAR SOLID 3D Snake Eater from Konami for Nintendo 3DS, that momentum should continue into the first quarter of 2012 and beyond.
Whilst it was pretty obvious that these games would be coming eventually, this is the first official confirmation of brand new entries in the Pokémon and Mario Party series appearing on the Nintendo 3DS.
Can we expect a full Pokémon adventure, or will it be something different? Should the 3DS version of Mario Party bring in some fresh changes to the familiar format? Post your thoughts below.
