How on earth is Metroid II in there and none of the sublime Prime games are not. Let alone Zero Mission or Fusion.

Good to see Fire Emblem is well respected but a bit miffed not to see games like Starfox 64 not in there but some oldie NES games in there...

Also a bit strange how Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Bros 3 are below Sunshine...not that i didn't like Sunshine, i was a big supporter, its just that i would have put both of these above that!

Interesting to see that Wind Waker has trumped both Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess. I do think its a fine game but i always thought many received it negatively.

Final observation is that there is only one DS game in the whole mix and that was the remake of Super Mario 64 DS! What's up with that!

Lolwut.

Super Mario 64 DS? Golf (NES)!? Baseball (NES)!!?... Once again my mind explodes at the thought of how anyone could find these games good.

I gotta be honest, I was surprised by a lot of it. I noticed Metroid 2 above all all other games in the series, plus the fact that Skyward Sword is right up there, despite selling so poorly. Wind Waker absolutely deserves to be up there.

I love that Super Mario World, Star Fox and both DK Country games get their deserved recognition, but disappointed by Yoshi's Island being so low.

Having recently played Mother 2 (Earthbound) this year, I can most definitely say it deserves its high spot. Those that think it doesn't simply haven't played it (or really hate RPGs!).

Edit: Marzy, I can only think a lot of who voted were older readers, which makes sense given the amount of NES/SNES/GB games in there. Games we started out with might not be looked upon as all that by newcomers of today either. Just how you probably think little of those NES games. Back when NES came out, they must have felt like the best games in the world.

Xenoblade Wii as the 6th best Nintendo game of all time?!?!?!

Fixed ;]

It is a little inconsistent with that in mind, how did Skyward Sword set such an impression already?

I am quite surprised that Pikmin didn't get in there at all? Not that i am a fan to be fair.

No Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Luigi's Mansion? Sin and Punishment? Wii Sports?

Only one generation of Pokemon games? Were Silver/Gold not that great in their eyes then!

If Banjo Tooie can be in there then why can't Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conkers BFD?

What a strange bunch of people!

I do feel like this list is fairly lacking in a few spots, i just can't put my finger on what games should be in there

Japan never took to FPS games, so unlikely to ever see Goldeneye or Perfect Dark in there. Don't know how they would have taken Conker either. I wouldn't have expected Luigi or Wii Sports to get in there tbh, nor S&P. The latter was well-received there though, wasn't it?

Wasn't the poll only done over the period of a week or something? So basically it meant that readers one week were told about the poll and the following week's issue had the results?

That may go some way to explaining the odd results...

There had to be something stupid like that behind it. That's pretty ridiculous then.

Hmm, Xenoblade Chronicles at 6? Sure, it's good, but really the 6th best Nintendo game?

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.
