Update: A post in the SEGA Forums confirms that Episode 2 will NOT be granted a WiiWare release.
But no - the reason Episode I was on the Wii was because we wanted to bring the Sonic 4 saga to the widest possible audience. Episode II unfortunately will not be coming to the Wii - for reasons most people have probably guessed, but that doesn't mean the SEGA isn't supporting Nintendo platforms, we have a very strong partnership and will continue to do so.

Original Story:
The first episode of the downloadable Sonic the Hedgehog 4 came with a marmite reception, so SEGA are hoping to put things right.
Today Digital Brand Manger Ken Balough spoke to GameSpot on the potential changes for Episode 2 - including both a new graphics and physics engine - due to heavy complaints from fans and critics.
Metal Sonic appears to have stepped on the villain pedestal this time round, with Sonic joined by his lifetime sidekick Miles "Tails" Prower.
Unfortunately there's no mention of the Wii, 3DS or any other Nintendo format for now, but this was the case with the original Episode 1 reveal. Current formats include PS3, Xbox 360, Android, iPhone and Windows.
