Initially only announced for European consumers, the redesigned Wii will be coming to North America in a neat bundle on October 23rd.
The slightly smaller Wii sits only horizontally and now lacks the ability to play GameCube games and connect GameCube controllers. It will be releasing in black, and for $150 you get the sleek little console itself, plus a Wii Motion Plus remote controller, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and a limited edition Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD.
The current Wii model package containing Mario Kart Wii will still continue to exist on shop shelves for the same price and in black and white colours.

Last week, Nintendo revealed a bundle for the same updated Wii console for Europe, albeit in a Sonic blue finish and packaged with the latest Mario & Sonic Olympics game.
