Preorder Mario 3DS, Get a Keychain on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The US branch of retailer Gamestop have confirmed a pre-order incentive for those gagging for Super Mario Land 3DS: A Tanooki keychain.

There isn't an image yet of what fans can expect to travel around in their pockets, however it'll likely be a rather cheerful Mario donning the Tanooki tail that you'll be able to proudly meld onto your house keys.

Other retailers have yet to announce their pre-order bonuses, though the usual candidates - posters, t-shirts etc are likely suspects.

Hehe, I think I actually have a similar one lying around somewhere.
SMB3 was the time of lots of Mario merchandise.

If it was the iconic Racoon Mario then yes I'd be getting it in a heartbeat.....but I'm strapped for cash at the moment & just getting a keychain is kinda limp...:<

So many great games and fun little bonuses coming out this time 'round. I'm for sure ordering this. Has Nintendo ever done something like this with other Mario releases? Because I can't seem to remember them doing this before. It could be a cool tradition if they get enough takers.

There was the Mario Galaxy Coin you got for pre-ordering the game. It was a nice little trinket.

That & the Coins have a more regal air about them. Seems more impressive collectorwise than a keychain.

Also is thap pic legitimate? The outlining makes it look more photo shoped than real.
