Dynasty Warriors Slices onto 3DS, Multiplayer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

As part of the 3DS line-up announced during Nintendo's conference earlier, the company revealed the first look at Dynasty Warriors Vs.

The upcoming portable entry in Tecmo Koei's successful action series is being crafted by series developers Omega Force and is said to have a strong multiplayer focus for up to four players.

Each creates a team with three generals that can be switched between as you go up against your rivals' headquarters. Each base is packed with hit regions which deplete your team's HP when attacked, so keep your defenses high!

The core fighting and control are said to remain intact, with a new modifiers system that can work in a positive way, enhancing your own team's attributes or dent your those of your rivals.

Dynasty Warriors VS is due for release on 3DS in 2012.

I like how they put writing all over the screen in the trailer whenever they are showing gameplay--they do a nice job of not hiding video--but video was hid very well.

This dynasty of tired software must die!

But it never will, the Japanese love their feudal history too much, and they get to live it in these games. They'll never grow tired of it as Western gamers have with WW2 games.

I just hope Tecmo re-direct profits into new Ninja Gaiden games Smilie.

I'd prefer it if they continued on with their Kessen series... for the US... cuz I damn well love the Kessen games.

I'd also love it if they released more Romance of the Three Kingdoms games here to the States...

Though this news is good for them hack-n-slash lovers. I prefer a bit more tactic with my history. Smilie

Everything has a consequence and a reward.

I just got into the Warriors games with Samurai Warriors Chronicles on launch day for my 3ds, so I'm looking forward to this one.
