Aliens: Infestation DS Trailer Bursts Online on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Aliens: Infestation was announced a few weeks ago as a DS exclusive 2D action title, and now a trailer has crawled out of a pitch black ventilation shaft and lurched its way onto YouTube.

WayForward are collaborating with Gearbox on the title, which will accompany the release of HD effort Aliens: Colonial Marines. You'll be able to choose a squad from a pool of 19 marines to go all guns blazing against a host of nasties around several important locales in the Aliens universe.


 

Aliens: Infestation will now burst onto Nintendo DS in October 2011.

Oh man, that looks pretty good actually O.O I find myself severely wanting this game. Hope the reviews are good or that it at least doesn't have any gamebreaking flaws in it.
Wouldn't mind repetitive gameplay if it's all about slaughtering Xenomorphs Smilie

It looks pretty damn fun, but it seems more apt to be a download. At least that way it could be released simultaneously for both the DS and 3DS.

Ugh, it looks like jerky crap, the 80's arcade game and Super Nintendo games look much better than this mess. On the surface I fail to see how Gearbox have collaborated on this, if they have it must be minimal involvement - story, new alien types, weaponry and old unused locations from Syd.

I dislike how Sega are giving popular franchises to WayForward to bastardize with an air of overiding cheapness, WayForward should stick to Shantae and DL games until they have adequate resources to produce games in such franchises to a standard fans can be happy with. With Contra they were able to devote resources, that is not happening these days.

I'll be buying a proper Aliens game in March, not this cheap muck, fans have had too much of this cheap shit.

Either get your eyes cheaked or your webbrowser, because it does not look jerky, and while "shit" is a mater of taste, in terms of asset/animation quality thats beyond Snes level easily.

Wow do you EVER have things backwards kid. Not only have you seen LESS than a minute of footage but you're also blind to the quality & smoothness of the animations (watch the Queen near the end & the Face Huggers, THEN tell me it's not better than SNES quality) seriously guy you're definatly trolling right here & if you STILL don't trust WayForward after the absolute BEAUTY that is Contra 4 & Shante then you have some of the absolute worst taste & judgement in games...it's no wonder you're signed in as a "guest"...you're afraid of reprisals...
