Atari and n-Space will be bringing a new edition of PC favourite Rollercoaster Tycoon to Nintendo 3DS in 2012. As before, players will be able to construct their titular insane contraptions before test riding them - only now, it'll be in full stereoscopic 3D. Sick bags at the ready!
It's hard to believe that there hasn't been an original Rollercoaster Tycoon title since 2004's Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. n-Space are building the 3DS edition from the ground-up, with unique assets, and several modes, such as a do-what-you-want sandbox, dedicated Coaster Creator and in-depth tutorials, will be included.
Players will be able to build up the rest of their park with pre-built attractions and rides, hire and fire staff to maintain their creations, and theme the park just as they want it. Moving onto the rollercoasters themselves, several styles can be experimented with: hydraulic, wooden, suspended, steel and inverted monstrosities are all yours to get to grips with.
Rollercoaster Tycoon will be out on Nintendo 3DS in March 2012. We'll bring you some media of the game soon, when there's more than a single blurry scan online.
Thanks to GoNintendo for the news.
Are you looking forward to a return to the Rollercoaster Tycoon series?
