New Trailer for Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Link and Zelda return to the living room with a new tale told in Skyward Sword and a new trailer shown at ComicCon this week.

The upcoming MotionPlus-enabled adventure aims to bring a new level of precision and control to the traditional Legend of Zelda outing, exploring the origins of the Master Sword and once again setting out to save Zelda from danger.

The latest footage doesn't dabble in anything too different to what we've seen before, but does reveal a Goron-like chap towards the end and a dose of bird action to start things off.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is due out towards the end of the year. For more on the new game, be sure to read our hands-on preview.

Nice to see glimpses of new footage, but it is practically the same, only this one is slightly out of synch - not as well composed as the e3 trailer. Nintendo have blantantly plonked mr Goron in to appease those fans who had been complaining about the lack of the race in this game. I don't expect a major role from them, he kinda looks like a Goron traveller...He probably sells cave maps.

It's looking better and better. Now I am really starting to get excited Smilie

Who would have thought Zelda's character designs could get worse?

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

I know im being picky and should know this by now, but the textures just look so awful.

If all you notice is textures (5yrs on) buy a PS3.

Zelda lullaby is much better then this song. I hope the music is better then twilight. Just finishing of twilight after a long delay and decided that apart from the wolf I wasnt keen on the music

Princess Zelda's design is inspired by Katsumi Yakoto's work- Eiji Aonuma is a fan of his work.

I like the character design but zeldas nose makes her the unnoticed girl not the obviously good looking one.

Wow, I can see what you mean! *looks at Panzer artwork*. Azel looks very similar in style, even down to the funky tubular hair!.
