Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva Coming to the US

Professor Layton has not only become a success in videogames. His first film, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva also became just as successful in Japan and it was later released in Europe on DVD. Unfortunately, the US never got a localization, though Viz Media is planning on changing this and will now be bringing the film to the US and Canada, later this year.

Viz Media are largely responsible for bringing other animated shows and films from Japan, with Bleach and Naruto proving to be popular with consumers.

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva takes place directly after the events of Professor Layton and the Last Specter, as a flashback story 3 years before the events of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

After such the success the first film was in Japan, Level-5 are already planning on producing another. With Manga Entertainment and Viz Media bringing Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva to a western market, hopefully we'll see the same happen again with the next film.

The film will come on Blu-Ray and DVD formats.
