E311 Media | DS Goes Wild With Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Square Enix have unleashed news on Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2, a spin off from the fan-favourite Dragon Quest. As monster scouts, it is the players duty to recruit wild monster to build a team and battle against other players in true turn-based RPG action to rescue their crew members and solving the islands many mysteries.

Players will encounter over 300 different monsters (with some familiar faces) which scouts can synthesise, to allow even more powerful monsters to be created. Each monster is unique as they can be customised by over 240 skill trees. This is further augmented at the rate monsters can level up during battles to realise their full potential.

Square Enix have also incorporated the use of local and wifi connections for players to battle their monster teams against one another and enter WiFi tournaments as well as use their tag mode which lets players share data with each other. Check out the screens below:

Great to see Nintendo publishing this in the US - hopefully Battle Road on Wii will come as well.
