Nintendo Hacked, All Details Still Safe on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In the midst of the Sony hacking fiasco, Nintendo have also been hacked in an attempt by a group to highlight security.

A hacking posse known as Lulzsec have claimed responsibility for the attack, and admitted that no harm was intended for the global gaming publisher - but did manage to access one of Nintendo's servers by modifying a configuration file, Reuters report.

In response Nintendo did confirm that the machine did not contain any customer/user details and that "customer information is our utmost priority".

Well, this is one of the reasons why Nintendo doesn't store customers Credit Card info and other details on their servers and why you have to enter that info every time you want to buy some points for the Wii, DS and now 3DS.

Yeah Nintendo get around this by not storing any info. Kind of backward, but there are no Sony-sized PR disasters if you have no info to lose.

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.
