E311 | Ridge Racers Beware the 3DS Update on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The 3DS firmware update releasing globally this week may cause issues for those driving Ridge Racer 3D on the portable.

Out today in the US, and June 7th elsewhere, the new update brings eShop and internet browsing functionality to the 3DS, but it seems those with Namco Bandai's racing game maybe affected. According to Nintendo players "may experience a disruption in their gameplay experience under certain conditions".

Perhaps a insider developer joke at the "it's Ridge Racer...RIDGE RACER!" E3 travesty of 2006? Uncanny timing!

Regardless, an additional update to be released later this month should fix things.

Ah, that's the only thing I have for the 3DS at this moment in time as well...

Ah poop. That's the game I've been playing most on my 3ds... Actually that's a lie. I've mainly been playing golden sun 3 but that doesn't count.
I'll say once again - poop.

Only game I've got at the moment Smilie From what I've read it shouldn't be all that much of a problem though.

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.
