The 3DS is already looking like it's going to be a solid platform for fighting games. Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition has went on to ship over one million copies since its launch and Dead or Alive: Dimensions is coming in May.
The month of May not only brings one game in the genre though, since today Aksys Games have announced a release date for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II. The game will be hitting US retailers on May 31st. No date for Europe was announced though.
The game will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS and Sony PSP systems and is an enhanced version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, which was an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 game. This new version's enhanced features include, ad-hoc multiplayer with spectators, new modes, the three characters released as downloadable content, tweaks to the fighting mechanics and balance, plus the added 3D effect for the 3DS version.
Aksys Games also released a launch trailer to tie in with the announcement.
