Dead or Alive Dimensions DLC Details Emerge on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

With the improved infrastructure of the 3DS' online capabilities and the ability to use SD Cards to store many gigabytes of data, DLC looks to be much easier to achieve on Nintendo new system.

Game updates have already been planned for other 3DS games, with one said to be heading to Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. No details have been announced what the update will include, though hopefully some more game content will be coming with it.

Tecmo Koei have now announced their plans for DLC on Dead or Alive Dimensions. The content will be completely free to download and includes various new costumes for characters featured in the game. These will be offered over wi-fi, using the 3DS' SpotPass system and begin on the games launch day, March 24th. Content will then be provided over a period of time, up until April 24th, when the last costume will be provided.

Some of the costumes include:

- Cheer Girl Lei Fang
- Personal Clothing Kokoro
- Ninja Attire Ayane
- Personal Clothing Kasumi
- Personal Clothing Hitomi
- White Cat Costume La Mariposa
- White Cat Costume Tina

Free is great.

I was really impressed by the quality of the 3D effect in this game, it surprisingly stood out among the games I've played. I'm now hoping for a better 3D fighting series to appear on the handheld, something like Rival Schools or Power Stone.

I know BlazBlue is coming to the 3DS, if you're interested in that?

Well, free is always a nice bonus... and opens up the door for paid DLC to be stored and streamed from the SD card.

Speaking of SD, anyone ask Nintendo if the slot only reads up to SDHC (32 GB) or if it will also eventually read SDXC cards?

Still nothing more on the Metroid stage and Samus in this game then?

Free DLC is great. I think most DLC should be free.

Edit: Oh, wow. Just read that Samus will NOT be a playable character in Dimensions. Apparently, she becomes a hazard that appears to help the fighter out in the match, or some crap.

How many people were praying for Zero Suit Samus with full typical DOA jiggle physics? The way they even showed her in the trailer at all completely hinted at her being playable. What a punch in the face for the fans.

There's also a co-op online mode dlc for Samurai Warriors on 3DS.

Blaze Blue is about as 2D that you can get for a fighter! But it looks gorgeous!

Who wants to bet that Samus will end up being a full DLC character for 8 bucks?

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
