WarioWare Meets Spongebob on Wii/3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

THQ has announced a new Wario Ware inspired game that lets players draw their way to victory on Nintendo's Wii and 3DS.

It's called Spongebob Squigglepants and stars the ever-popular Spongebob in over 100 mini or "nano" games. Like the Nintendo equivalent Wario Ware, the more minigames you complete, the faster they'll get. Can you keep up the pace?

Spongebob will also take on themed roles - like "Comic Book Bob" and "Pixel Bob" for an all new look and style.

Bikini Bottom is also set to embrace undersea culture in the new Bikini Bottom Museum of Art, letting players with the uDraw drawing tablet craft masterpieces and save these onto an SD card.

SpongeBob SquigglePants is exclusive to uDraw and is out on Wii on April 12th for $29.99. A release on 3DS is planned for release later this year.

First of all, let it be noted that the fine folk at WayForward are developing this. Secondly, it's good to see THQ making good on its promise to support uDraw more. I wonder if the rumoured Nintendo game for it will emerge soon?

I'm also intrigued about the 3DS game. WayForward's first confirmed 3DS title?

As Adam said, it's great to see them support uDraw with games like this. I'm surprised we haven't seen many WarioWare type copygames.

If they had to copy/be inspired by an existing concept, then WarioWare probably is the one to have chosen. Glad uDraw's getting more support over the base software, it does have potential for more advanced drawing tools and maybe even a dedicated Nintendo channel?

Great....we get stuck with crap like this but SOMEHOW there's no word on Last Story comming to the states...?Smilie

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
