Nintendo legend and Mario's father Shigeru Miyamoto recently confirmed that he is hard at work on Super Mario Bros. for 3DS.
The company struck more gold than Wario would ever dream of hauling with the New Super Mario Bros. duo for Wii and DS, and by the looks of things the classic Mario action is set to continue for the upcoming handheld.
A new Mario game is hardly a surprise for any new Nintendo hardware, and back in November 2010 Miyamoto confirmed that there will be Mario games of a classic side-scrolling nature, and also 3D platformers.
Those awaiting for a new game can rest assured - it's in development "in the interests of adopting new technology for the Super Mario Bros. tradition," and that Miyamoto wants to "show everyone as soon as possible what the new Super Mario Bros. will be like on the Nintendo 3DS."
