Wireless DS Bluetooth Keyboard Revealed on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Japanese folk who would like to learn English with the help of Pokemon on the DS can use a wireless keyboard. First images inside.

Back in September we brought news from Japan that developer Genius Sonority (of Dragon Quest Swords and Pokémon Battle Revolution fame) was working on the educational tool and that Nintendo were readying a new keyboard peripheral for the DS.

The new device was recently revealed by Nintendo of Japan as a Bluetooth keyboard which connects to your DS via a Bluetooth adapter housed within a game cartridge. According to Satoru Iwata it's also compatible with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, like Androids and iPhones, but can't be guaranteed.

So much fancy stuff and good games being released so close to the 3DS's release... heres thinking Nintendo are trying to do a "third column" console scheme again (last one being Gamecube, Gameboy and DS). DS is too popular to just move on to the next big thing so i recon the standard DS is going to be around for brain training and puzzle games for a long time along side the 3DS which will be a more hardcore gaming console.

Design wise it looks pretty nice

Nice, I wonder if it would work on the 3DS and Wii.
