Tecmo Koei have emerged from the 3DS event looking like serious third party contenders, with a pair of visually impressive titles aimed towards the launch period. Those titles are, of course, Dead Or Alive Dimensions - the first entry on a Nintendo system - and Samurai Warriors: Chronicles.
Click the game titles to open their game pages and discover plenty of delicious screenshots.

The first Dead or Alive entry on a Nintendo system, Dimensions takes full advantage of 3DS, offering online play, StreetPass virtual fighting and local wireless multicard battling. If you're new to the series, don't worry; the bottom screen displays a move list for reference, and touch input makes easier work of those complicated moves.
Update: We've just heard word that a new trailer has been released, with the Dead or Alive cast doing battle in a Metroid level, complete with Ridley and what seems to be a tag/character switch to what just could be Samus Aran from the Metroid series. Team Ninja recently worked on Metroid: Other M for Wii.

Two characters with differing styles of play are available for selection in Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, as well as multiple paths through the game that will see you befriend or battle a variety of samurai folk. Downloadable scenarios are available via the online SpotPass functionality, and your army will fight anybody who dares cross your path in StreetPass mode.
Look out for more information on both titles in the coming days.
