Namco-Bandai have released new screenshots from their upcoming new title in the Ridge Racer franchise. Ridge Racer 3D will bring arcade styled racing, with classic heavy drifting, the series has been famous for and now all in 3D.
Ridge Racer 3D also brings a new and larger variety of cars, along with new environments to race in and an extensive customization option for cars. Furthermore, the game features improved drift mechanics over previous titles in the series. With the added benefit of 3D, players will be able to experience racing like never before.
Players have the ability to judge the distance between themselves and other players on the race field. Not only that, but they also have the ability to choose a registered Mii and use them as a tag, during races, along with the ability to attach a photo of yourself. These appear above your car, whilst racing.
Multiplayer is also featured and can be done using multi-card play. This aspect extends to the StreetPass feature of the 3DS, where Ghost data can be traded with people.
