Nintendo UK's David Yarnton today confirmed that there won't be any official 3DS hardware bundles at the console's launch.
The new 3D portable is set to bombard retailers across Europe on March 25th 2011, and it's "purely hardware", with no official game bundles available until a later date. With the price relatively high compared to the current DS family, retailers have already started bundling games together and proposing their own launch deals.
The console isn't just a plastic shell, there is a set of augmented reality cards and on-board software to get new adopters started.
Indications that we’ve had so far from retail is that they are really happy with the price and demand indicates it will be our biggest launch in terms of hardware. In the last ten years, the innovation that we’ve bought to the market, people may have looked at the price to begin with but it was soon forgotten because of the quality of the product and the content that’s available.
