THQ Gets New Company Logo on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Publisher and developer THQ has unveiled a new company logo as part of a change in direction, "placing creative first".

The official site notes that "when a company dramatically changes its vision and strategy, it's visual identity must change with it."

The new branding, a curvier design in grey and striking red, will be used in upcoming THQ releases from February onwards.

What do you think of the new look THQ?

I liked the old one better. This one is just meh. Smilie

The old one was a lot better than this. Most new company logos are worse than the old ones for some reason.

I prefer this one it's more modern, but thats not to say it's any good. I like the Q but the h just makes them look simple. I'm sure anyone with half a brain could come up with a more innovative logo.

A company that comes to mind is Rare.

I liked the old one better, but we'll get used to it I guess. In 15 years time when they change it again, we'll say we liked this one better than the next one.

Why do companies need to change logos to be more 'modern' is beyond me... The old one was by far better and more 'THQ' than this one. This looks like a logo for Fridges, or something.

The original THQ logo was much better than the one they used in the 2000s, but both look very dated. I never liked the recent logo, but this one doesn't fit the company at all. Unless THQ plans on publishing indie art games, this logo just don't fit.

This logo reminds me of a courier delivery company for some reason.... Smilie

I'm not a fan of the new one, but that's nothing to do with the fact that it's different from the previous one; The previous one was fucking shit.

I'll endure it, it's not like I see the logo often anyway Smilie

You're right. Its very similar in font. What you want to do is differentiate yourself from others. Smilie

That being said Rare's and THQ's logo look more generic (word of the day now lol)

GRAY!! Nintendo, Rare, THQ.

Gray is the future!

All logos have to be pink, or else fail.

Hmmm, corporate re-imaging. How 'lifestyle'.
