Level designs, graphics and character faces aren't the only things changing in Goldeneye 007 Wii - the story is too.
Scripwriter Bruce Feirstein spoke to ONM on how the game's plot is being updated for the current generation and the way the world is at the moment. Whilst the gameplay has aged gracefully, developers Eurocom and Activision felt the story would be out of place, where in order for certain events to take place today, characters would be over 80 years old.
In the Wii game Trevelyan has a new motivation, instead of his Cossack roots and revenge. Also Zukovsky's intentions and role has been shifted to be more in line with Russian billionaires, like Roman Abramovich. The ex-KGB agent turned Russian mafia will now own a football team and dodgy nightclub.
With World War games being acceptable, do you think Goldeneye 007's story needed a revamp/modernisation?
