Earlier this week it was revealed that Capcom was workin with Level-5 on an unannounced project. Could it be a new Ace Attorney game? Speaking in an interview at the Tokyo Games Show, Capcom's Keiji Inafune and Level-5's Akihiro Hino revealed that the studios are working together in some capacity on "some truly interesting things."
An now, via a post by Level-5's Jiro Ishii, it seems the project is Gyakuten/Ace Attorney released as he mentions "Gyakuten. I’m working on it with Takumi-san", with Takumi-san being the creator of Capcom's popular detective series. Level-5 is known for the Professor Layton and Inazuma Strikers franchises.
Could Capcom and Level-5 be working together on a new Ace Attorney / Gyakuten Saiban game?
Update - Could this all have been a big misunderstanding? Could it be that Level-5 is not actually working with Capcom on a new Ace Attorney game after all? Well, according to Jiro Ishii, the man behind 428 on Wii, it was a case of people clutching at straws since he is currently working hard on Time Travellers, the new Level-5 title thought to be coming to 3DS, and the 'Gyakuten' comment was related to nothing more than a personal message to a developer friend.
