Metal Gear Solid 3DS Bound for 2011 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Speaking at a conference at the Tokyo Games Show this week Hideo Kojima confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 3DS will arrive in 2011.

Metal Gear Solid: The Snake Eater 3D is an updated port of the PS2 classic, but may take on various changes and updates to better suit the new handheld and visual technology. Director and series creator Kojima revealed that the team is currently experimenting and getting used to the technology.

It's uncertain whether Snake Eater 3D will make it for the system's launch.

Damn! I just bought Snake Eater today. I'll buy Subsistence when I find it...and I'll probably end up getting this too. I wouldn't have bought Snake Eater had I known this!

Don't even play Snake Eater; get Subsistence. The added camera control makes it a completely different game, in a good way.

I know. I wanted Subsistence but I saw Snake Eater for €10 and bought it on impulse. It's really difficult to find Subsistence in Europe and usually goes for around €60. If I ever find it though I'm getting it straight away.

For some reason subsistance is more expensive, I wanted but I got snake eater too lol

PS3 is just good for Catherine, Demons souls, Dark Souls, and Folklore

WTF why is this on a nintendo system! MG was born on Sony system and now konmai are sell outs! Fuck you konmai and I'm sell all my MG collection and not supporting you any more.

^^^^ err.. no it wasen't

MGS3 is my favoute Metal Gear game so I can not wait for this. I hope they don't mess with the game too much. Things like the theme song, boss fights and credits song should all remain.

Playing Metal Gear on the PSP is painful, so hopefully they use the touch screen for aiming. Either that or go back to the old ways of not being able to move when aiming in first person. That way you can use the slide pad to aim.

Metal Gear started out as an MSX2 game which was ported to the NES(Nintendo). This was 10 years before Sony got their first taste of Metal Gear.
