EA Announce My Garden for the 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The annual Tokyo Games Show is currently in full bloom, with many new games being revealed for various consoles. On the Nintendo side of things, not much has been shown, but EA took to the stage and announced a brand new 3DS title in development, My Garden. Screenshots were also shown, to showcase some of the games flowery visuals.

The game enables you to design your very own garden, in which players can collect over 300 different plants. Insects will also appear in your garden and up to six different styles of area can be picked, including an arid desert, the banks of a cascading brook, and a beautiful rainforest.

To help you achieve your beautiful dream garden in the game, a character called Tanuki will be by your side. The character not only acts as a narrator, but also has 20 unlockable abilities to help you reach your goal. As you progress, insects and animals will flock to your garden and you can even whistle into the 3DS microphone to attract birds. Alternatively, if you want to get rid of any insect or animals, you can shake the 3DS system.

EA have said the game is set to be available on the launch of the 3DS in Japan, The US and Europe. A version for the Wii will also be released.

With My Garden, our aim was simple: to make something beautiful that comes to life on the Nintendo 3DS like no other platform.

We hope to offer a game that's so immersive that it truly brings the delight of owning a garden to life through a visually stunning 3D experience.

LOL that picture looks like it was taken from a druggie's den.

Well, the 3D does provide this game with an extra incentive. Let's wait for a preview before saying if it's worth it or not.

It reminds me a bit of Viva Piñata, which I really enjoyed when I played it on the DS.

I can imagine the 3D will look nice on this.

This sounds awesome. Smilie Pikmin should be more like this.

nah, Pikmin2 was incredibly pretty in its own style already. Didnt work too good when you were very close, but still one of the best looking cube games, imho.

Anyway, looks nice...very...Tim Burton.
Lets see what the gameplay is like Smilie
