Rumour: Peripheral Designer Reveals 3DS Date? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A twitter user who claims to have worked for peripheral designer Keys Factory claims to know the 3DS release date for Japan.

According to Andriasang a tweet from the user "nocchisan" reveals that eleven products are due to be released at the same time as Nintendo's forthcoming 3DS console in Japan, listed as 20th November 2010. Since then Nocchisan has removed the account and tweets.

If true or not Nintendo is expected to confirm release details at the end of the month.

That's Earlier than I would have thought. Maybe that'll mean they'll try to get it to the Western shores for Holiday season?! That'd be amazing.

Whether this date is official or not, I think we can expect to see it in the US if not in PAL as well by February.

I want the 3DS in the UK this year Nintendo. After the worldwide release of the Wii, they really have no excuse for a delay to western shores.

Well, it was definitely Holiday 2010 for Japan, and I always assumed it would be released in the US around the same time, so this looks like it could be true. The only question is how long it will take them to release it in Europe.

Difference is the Gamecube was pretty much dead back then everywhere, the DS can keep on trucking for a while in other regions.

Can imagine the date being pretty legit, at least it arrive in Japan before the end of the year - within weeks of that date. Who knows though, guess we'll find out in a few week's time Smilie

It will be Marchish here, like the DS was. I hope it is anyway, there are already too many good games coming out this year.

This sounds bang on the money for Japan.

I'm interested to see how Nintendo plays this in the USA and Europe. They can guarantee themselves fantastic sales over Christmas/Thanksgiving by launching this year, or they can give the DS one last big holiday season (especially with the recently reduced price) and release 3DS next year. I can see them doing the latter, as 3DS is going to sell well whenever it's released.
