I guess they aren't too bothered about a Pokémon 3DS.

And after the first Metroid DS launch game, I'm not surprised they don't want another.

I'd like a Megaman X game. I'd love Golden Sun 4. I'd appreciate FFTA 3DS (see what I did there?).

Well considering Pokemon black and white will be out around the time 3DS launches and Nintendo has just finished up Other M, it's no wonder 3DS version of those franchises arn't showing up.

Another site pointed out how weird it was that no one is looking forward to the new "Kid Icarus" game. Heck, I want that on day one.

Good point. I don't know about the USA, but Kid Icarus is not really known. Only SSB:B gave some notice to the game, maybe the trophy in Melee.

Thank you very much for mentioning it though, I am indeed looking forward to it.

@ Jimmy2000; Bad decision on the part of Nintendo to not delay B/W to put it on the 3DS. Unless, they plan to release the Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/etc version on 3DS. That'd be a brilliant business move.

How far apart was the release of Metroid Prime and the DS version?

of course.....Smilie

How is moving the game to a potential userbase of 120million DS', plus there is the fact that potential 3DS customers can still play the game so thats and even bigger combined 3DS and DS audience.
To just the 3DS which is starting off from scratch?

Also I'm sure nintendo want to give third partys SOME starting chance on the system as well, with Pokemon around it would basically suck away all the attention and sales from third party 3DS games.
Consoles generally launch with new IP's as well( it's generally considered the best time to establish them) which would suffer with a new Pokemon around.

Besides black/white have recently broken records for preorders in japan, so it's not like it's going to suffer.

As for how far apart Metroid Prime and Hunters where released from each other, it's irrelevant because NST made hunters and probably aren't doing a sequel seeing as the Prime series is kind of done with for the time being (think there busy with DSiware projects as well) and the only other part of nintendo that makes handheld Metroids is Sakamotos team who was busy with other M.
Retro Studios is busy with Donkey Kong and likely won't be developing a handheld game.

In my opinion, people cannot do anything without money, but money is not everything. What money will bring you depends on your personal belief and goal in life. If you are kind enough to help others, especially the poor, money is a good thing to you. With it, you can do much more for the benefit of people and your country, and it will and to your own happiness. If you want money just for your own needs, you’ll never be satisfied or happy. In a word, you should have money spent for more people, only then can money be the source of your happiness. ugg classic short

I think it should be mentioned that the video game market is actually pretty terrible in Japan. Especially Metroid. Japanese people just don't feel the love for Metroid like the rest of us do.
