Various trailers for new games have been revealed, including the likes of the new DS RPG Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and much more.
A couple of days ago (15th July), Nintendo released the second Fire Emblem remake for the Nintendo DS, Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, confirming to the world that not only is it a remake of the third game in the series, but it comes with extra content in the form of the inclusion of BS Fire Emblem: Record of Akeneia Wars, which was previously a Japanese-only release on the Super Nintendo's Satellaview service in 1997 and acts as a precursor to the events of the very first NES/Famicom Fire Emblem, which was remade on DS a couple of years ago. A new trailer can be seen below:
One of the big shocks from Square Enix at this year's E3 show in America was the unveiling of a new Kingdom Hearts for DS, alongside the 3DS entry. Using an enhanced version of the game engine that powered Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Japanese developer h.a.n.d., which also made three Final Fantasy Fables DS titles for Square Enix, has been tasked with remaking Kingdom Hearts: Coded from mobile phone handsets to Nintendo's ageing, but still strong-selling, DS platform. Some observations from the first in-game trailer include how when the player attacks anything, a meter starts to fill up on the left side of the screen, and when completely full, a special bonus appears to be applied, with Level 1 being a Medic statistical boost, Level 2 a Spirit Attack move and Level 3 giving increased attacking abilities. Also, an item dropped for Sora to collect is a 'Fire Blast' one that points towards items actually being equipped to add new commands to his set-list, similar to the process found in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep on the PSP.

Additionally, flying somewhat more under the radar, Gameloft has just released (in the US) a DSiWare game that looks remarkably like Konami's Castlevania series. Going by the name of Soul of Darkness, for 500 Nintendo Points, DSi owners can download the game that is described as follows:
Enter a fascinating gothic world as the mysterious and powerful Kale. Try to save your beloved's life and soul by freeing her from an evil vampire's clutches. Explore dark woods, caves, huge castles and impressive cathedrals under the full moon's light. Master and upgrade your sword and spear, and learn how to control your powers. Use the Fire and the Ice or transform into your enemies to overcome the numerous obstacles in your way. Face and defeat foes such as werewolves, succubae, gargoyles and zombies. Exclusive camera features let you use your environment to gain power-ups and upgrades. Good or evil - be the sole master of your destiny

Finally, Aksys Games has confirmed that it will be releasing the interactive mystery novel 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors on DS. The game comes from Chunsoft, the developer behind Shiren The Wanderer, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, and the Wii sound novel duo of 428 and Imabikisou. The game sees nine people trapped on a cruise ship, with the aim being to help them escape by working through the in-depth story and solving numerous touch-screen puzzles along the way. With Nintendo seeing such success with the likes of Mystery Case Files, Rooms: The Main Building, and Professor Layton here in Europe, there could be a strong case for Nintendo Europe also picking up this little gem in the future.
