E310 | Nintendo 3DS for October 2010? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Two months ago it was speculated that the Nintendo 3DS would arrive in October. Could that have been true? According to CVG the 'rumour' will be confirmed as truth later today when Nintendo lifts the veil on the 3DS platform, telling the world to expect the 3D-enabled dual-screen portable in around four months!

Do you think Nintendo will roll out the 3DS as a means of combating 360's Kinect and PS3's Move?

Japan probably, but I would be extremely surprised if it makes it to the US and Europe before Christmas...I would like for it to, but don't expect it.

I thought this was "confirmed" a while ago anyway...

But still, you never know unless it comes fro Nintendo themselves.

Would be a great time to release it, with the new slim Xbox360 and Kinect and whatever else is happening, Nintendo need their own ace and 3DS will be a strong one. Lets hope the launch games are good.

October would be perfect. Nothing like a little 3DS action to steal sales before Kinect and Move have a chance to take the market.

Completely different markets, I doubt Nintendo are paying any attention to Kinect and Move.
