Ubisoft has confirmed that a special version of Driver is heading to Wii. Whilst Driver: San Francisco is currently being worked on by Reflections for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac, there will be a special 'bespoke' version heading to Wii. Whether or not this will also focus on the standard hero, Tanner, is yet to be confirmed.
Driver: San Francisco features a new game mechanic called 'Shift' that allows players to take charge of other vehicles without actually getting out of your own. There will also be licensed vehicles this time round, and a multiplayer mode based around the 'Shift' concept.
Currently planned for the usual 'Holiday 2010' window, hopefully more Wii-specific details will be forthcoming soon and the game will be far better than the woeful Driver: Parallel Lines...
