These sound incredibly fake, to me. The 2Chan rumours were at least realistic, but some of these go way out there:
- Why would they choose not to have a title? When has Nintendo ever not gone with a new title for a main series game? Even when they remake a game, they give it a new title (New! Super Mario, Metroid Zero Mission, The two Fire Emblem games remade in Japan, Pokemon FR, LG, HG, SS, etc.) That's just not something Nintendo does. A lot of third-party companies do it (Bionic Commando, Sonic the Hedgehog etc.) which is what makes the guess safe, but Nintendo has never really done it. Even when they remake games from other systems, they give it a new name (MGS: Twin Snakes, Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop.) The closest thing they've ever done to this, I think, would be keeping the title of A Link to The Past, but even then it's a stretch because that was a direct port with minor changes, and even then it came with another game and thus had the title "A Link to the Past / Four Swords."
- Pretty vague, but also in-line with most of the other rumours going around.
- "Zordiana" sounds like a character someone would write into a Zelda fanfiction. At best, it sounds like it'd be the name of a Zora. And anybody could guess she'd be important. She's the only new thing revealed thus far.
- Also just taken from the other rumours going around. The ice dungeon part is interesting. The very few ice dungeons in the series so far have generally been later in the game. If I had to make a safe guess, I'd go with a forest dungeon, mostly because that's how they always do it. But Nintendo has been saying that this game will be different. So I guess if E3 comes by and there's no ice dungeon, there'll be no reason to regard any of these as true.
- Sounds plausible enough.
- Not sure what that would entail, but it sounds pretty basic. If the bow and arrow, and not the crossbow, is in the game, I imagine it'd function in the obvious way.
- Nintendo hasn't ever really gone with different difficulty modes. And if Miyamoto said no, it wouldn't be in the game. This is probably the biggest reason why I think these are false. It's one thing for these rumours to come from someone who had an advance copy of the e3 demo or something similar, but to know intimate details from the Japanese development studio going that high up the ladder? That just seems completely unrealistic.
As interesting as it would be to see Aonuma have more control, this just doesn't seem that likely. What Miyamoto says pretty much goes, and that's for almost all Nintendo games. I don't think Zelda would be an exception.
- I can see the drawing thing, but with the sword? That sounds unrealistic. It's a sword, not a pencil. Have you ever tried to draw in the dirt with a tree branch you can barely lift with one hand? Chances are you'd end up drawing some sweet looking blobs. Swords are for swinging, not drawing.
I don't know. These just sound too farfetched, to me.
