Move Easy with Spare Wii Cables on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Have multiple TV sets in your home and often needing to switch your Wii between them? The solution for you lazy bums: spare cables.

Nintendo of Japan have uncovered a warehouse of cables deep underground and so have decided to flog them as "spare cables for the other room". According to CVG the packaging even consists of instructions to help those use their 4200 Yen (£30/$45) investment. That's right, for the price of a regular Wii game you can embrace grey plastic to make life that little bit easier.

Would you buy a spare pair of cables for this reason, or will you stick with the good ol' fashioned way of lugging them out?

I can see how this could work for families with just one Wii that can now be used for Netflix. Maybe they move the Wii into the living room for movies and game time and then return it to one of the bedrooms for one player gaming later in the day.

Before my parents got a Wii, this would have been great for bringing my Wii home from college on vacations. While the power and av cables aren't all that big, it's just one less thing I would have to lug in my carry on, though security and on the plane.
