Japanese Sales, 15th-21st March, 2010

The Media Create Top 50 software sales, and hardware numbers from Japan have now been compiled for the week of 15th-21st March, 2010. This week sees Nintendo losing its dominance over the Top 10, with SEGA's fourth Yakuza title slamming home at No.1 on PS3, whilst Bandai Namco's latest Gundam on PSP slots itself nicely in at No.2, bumping Nintendo's third Pokémon Ranger down to No.3, with sales sightly over the 275,000 in total now. Elsewhere, the budget version of Dragon Quest IX is still clinging on to its No.9 position, Monster Hunter on PSP continues to thrive, leaping seven to No.11, and the usual suspects are still littering the Top 50. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks may have looked to be a disaster when compared to sales of Phantom Hourglass when first released, but it remains at No.22 again this week, with sales slowly creeping up to nearly 630,000 units. Shiren the Wanderer 4, under its new publisher of Spike rather than SEGA, is edging its way closer to the 100,000 sales point, whilst some of the 'Everyone's Recommendation Selection' Wii range from Nintendo are still hanging on, with One Piece at No.33, with nearly 21,000 sales now, and Muramasa re-entering at No.50.
